Shane & Shane
We had the blessing of going to a Christmas concert last night--Brittany Dillon (I think), Phil Twyckham (sp?), and Shane and Shane (ok, I know I got that one right), who were the featured group.
My favorite: O Come, O Come Emmanuel. It just doesn't get any better than that.
Most interesting song lyric: a lyric that basically said, "My favorite part of me is You." My thought was that that is such a great message for my children. I try to affirm them in different ways--praising them for their obedience, for using good manners, for doing well in school--all in an effort to give them confidence, build esteem, and "catch them doing good."
I think, though, that I want to teach them that my favorite part of each of them is the Lord who made them and lives in them--that my favorite part of them is Him. I want them to be able to say that about themselves, too.

My first thought when reading your post was that my favorite part of YOU, Jana, is Him.
I'm so thankful at this time of year for HIM, coming to be WITH us, still living IN us. It is almost too wonderful to believe, isn't it?
I'm glad you got to go to the concert.
We love Shane & Shane! Chris brought them to our area for a concert last February. They are amazing and we love Bethany Dillon! So glad you had the opportunity to see them and enjoy their blessing!
