That sound you just heard...

..was a big sigh of relief from some people here in Lubbock. OK, I would be included in those people!

Plainview and Brownwood did not fare so well, however.

I would think this would HELP?

ESPN - Kyle Busch completes Chicagoland sweep with seventh Cup of season - Racing

I love the quote, which says:

Carl Edwards took the lead from Busch with 64 laps left. But Edwards' lead was brief. He was forced to pit with a left front tire and moments later Busch was back in front.

Wouldn't having a left front, I am assuming in contrast to all of the other cars that did not have a left front, actually be to your advantage? Or could it be that he had to carry around his own spare, which would indeed hinder his ability to lead the race.

Commentary: McMahon shouldn't be the face of foreclosure - CNN.com

Commentary: McMahon shouldn't be the face of foreclosure - CNN.com

This guy says what I have thought, but have not heard anyone else say - at least publicly. I especially love this:

The same night the McMahon interview aired, I got a spam e-mail from Matthew Lesko, the guy who wears a question-mark suit on infomercials. He was informing me that, no matter my income, there are plenty of free government programs that I can take advantage of to help me pay my mortgage.

Perfect. Just what we need: free money for those who got into trouble by spending money freely.

I will be the first to admit I am not the role-model for wise spending, but I did at least think of this as good thinking.

Triple-digit heat retuns to Lubbock | AVALANCHE-JOURNAL:

What is most interesting to me is that it has been since July of 2006 that we were at 100. Off to go sit under a fan.
